Matthew Piazza

With over 14 years in the construction business, Matthew has worked on complex projects across all asset types including ground up residential, major conversion projects and interior office build outs.

Prior to PDC, Matthew was a Senior Project Manager at HFZ Capital Group managing the Chatsworth conversion project, a complex, 230,000 sf landmarked residential rehab project. Matt also managed all pre-development for 11 Beach St, a full gut rehab of an existing office building for conversion to high-end condominiums.

Prior to HFZ, Matt was a project manager at RXR Realty,  responsible for construction management on various major repositioning and interior construction projects. Mr. Piazza began his career at Lend Lease, where he started as an intern, ultimately managing a variety of different project types as a field superintendent in the special projects group. Matt holds a B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield University and received a Masters in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.


Robert Piazza

Spanning a career of over 35 years, Robert has built and renovated some of the New York’s most iconic buildings including Radio City Music Hall, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 40 Bond Street and The Gramercy Park Hotel..

Robert is currently the First Vice President of Construction for Equity Residential, The country’s largest publically traded apartment REIT. In this role, Robert has overseen the construction of more than 2M sf of ground up residential development. Robert is currently overseeing the construction of 400 Park Avenue South and 170 Amsterdam and is responsible for all contract negotiations, labor negotiations, cost control, schedule monitoring and general construction oversight as well as assisting in all underwriting of potential new acquisitions for the company’s New York office.

Prior to joining Equity, Robert was a Senior Vice President and Principal in Charge at Bovis Lend Lease and owned his own construction management and consulting firm. Robert holds a BA from Fairfield University and is on the Board of Directors at Holy Cross High School
