MATTHEW PIAZZA
Managing Principal

Matthew started PDCo. In 2015 and has worked on or managed over 1 Million SF of development across various asset types including ground up residential and mixed-use, major conversion projects and interior office build outs.

Prior to establishing PDCo, Matthew was a Senior Project Manager for a large NYC developer, where he oversaw all aspects of multiple residential development projects from design development and entitlements through construction management oversight. Previously, Matthew was a project manager at RXR Realty, responsible for construction management on various major repositioning and interior construction projects throughout RXR’s Manhattan portfolio.

Matthew began his career at Lend Lease, where he started as an intern, ultimately working on and managing a variety of different project types as a field superintendent and project manager. Matt holds a B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield University and received a Masters in Real Estate Development from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.


JAMIE PIAZZA
Principal

Jamie Piazza is a principal with PDCo. and brings over 15 years of experience.  Jamie has worked on and managed over 1 Million square feet of complex projects in New York City and San Francisco.

Prior to joining PDCo, Jamie served as Director of Construction for Synapse Development Group.  At Synapse, he oversaw the design development and construction of Perch Harlem, the first market rate Passive House designed building in NYC, and the 203 key Yotel San Francisco. Before Synapse, Jamie served as a Senior Project Manager for HFZ Capital Group, a Manhattan-based real estate investment, and development company, where he worked on notable condo conversion projects such as the Chatsworth and 88 & 90 Lexington Avenue.

Jamie also served as Project Manager at Sciame Construction.  At Sciame, he worked on the Pritzker Prize winner, Maki & Associates-designed, 51 Astor Place and the Diller Scofidio + Renfro-designed, Columbia University Medical Center. He began his career in construction management while working for Tishman Construction on the Tishman/Turner Joint Venture World Trade Center Transportation Hub project.

Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business


PETER MAZZURCO
Project Manager

Peter joined PDCo. in 2022 and serves as project manager. In his role Peter works alongside the principals to help facilitate all aspects of PDCo. projects from design development through construction.

Prior to joining PDCo., Peter served as Project Manager at a major NYC construction management firm. Working on major ground up, multi-family projects, his responsibilities included preconstruction, purchasing, budgeting, contract administration and construction management. Previously, Peter held project management roles at large scale NYC condominium and multi-family developers. In these roles, Peter worked on the construction of more than 1 Million sf of ground up residential development and major conversion projects. His responsibilities included subcontractor relations, cost control, schedule monitoring and general construction oversight.

He holds a BA from Villanova University.


ROBERT PIAZZA
Special Advisor

In his role with PDCo., Robert provides project specific guidance on all of the firms projects. PDCo. is able to leverage Robert’s experience and resources to better support clients, their partners and projects. Spanning a career of over 40 years, Robert has built and renovated some of the New York’s most notable and iconic buildings including 400 Park Avenue South, Radio City Music Hall, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 40 Bond Street and The Gramercy Park Hotel.

Prior to joining PDCo., Robert served as Vice President of Residential Construction for the Northeast at The Rockefeller Group. Prior to the Rockefeller Group, Robert was First Vice President of Construction for Equity Residential, The country’s largest publicly traded apartment REIT. In these roles, Robert oversaw the construction of more than 2.5M sf of ground up residential development and was responsible for all contract negotiations, labor negotiations, cost control, schedule monitoring and general construction oversight. Prior to joining Equity, Robert was a Senior Vice President and Principal in Charge at Bovis Lend Lease.

Robert is an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Real Estate Institute and sits on the Real Estate Board of New York’s construction advisory committee. He holds a BA from Fairfield University.


THORSTEN KIEFER
Special Advisor

Thorsten Kiefer is a German-born architect who has been working in real estate development for the last 7 years. He is currently Director of Design for HFZ Capital, one of the most active developers in the high-end residential market in New York.

At HFZ, Thorsten leads in-house design, focusing on strategy, design management and entitlement phases for all projects, with over $3 billion of real estate in development. Prior to HFZ, he worked with the architectural firms of OMA, SOM and SHoP Architects.

Thorsten understands the value created by smart design strategies, which align with market, budget and schedule. He also understands the importance of collaboration in an increasing complex consultant environment.

As an advisor to PDCo., Thorsten provides insight and guidance on all aspects of design development as needed. Thorsten’s experience and thoughtful, technical and team-based approach to design helps PDCo. in all aspects of the development and decision-making processes. Thorsten holds a BA from Illinois Institute of Technology and a MA in architecture from Harvard University.
